I have a Honda Horizon (Isuzu Bighorn) 3.1td auto 1995 when i bought it it was running really cool on cold days the neddle was only just reaching first mark, so i have changed the thermostat purchased from milners fitted it now temperature gauge is about halfway ? just wondering could anybody tell me is this normal for a 3.1? thanks |

I would say halfway is about the norm. Your old stat was probably stuck open, You might even find you get a few more mpg now as the engine will be reaching temp a lot quicker, There will be 3.1 owners on soon to give you a more educated view but i would say it's fine. _________________

Half way and never moves...
Keep an eye on the water level though - I ran my rad down to 1/2 (leaks through the rad cap a little) and didn't notice since the temp never changed... _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

this was a question i was planning on asking as mine doesnt seem to go much beyond the 1st marker.

Depends how many miles you are doing.
My troop is a work vehicle so I do at least 100/150 miles a day towing at least 1.5 ton plus trailer.
