Hello,
Doing some research.
I recently found out that the 95,96,97 Fontera Sport has a coil spring rear suspension.
In the states our Amigo had leaves in the rear til' 94 when it was discontinued over here.
It was brought back in 98 with the new body style and coilsprung D44 rearend.
What rearend did the say 96 Amigo have in it in the UK?
Was it an Isuzu 12bolt out of a trooper? If so what year trooper?
We have two different width 12bolts over here.
Sorry for calling the vehicles by possibley the wrong name.
Are there any good pics of this rear setup,I need a visual of things like panhard bar and link mounts.
I'm planning on swapping these parts onto my 90-ish Amigo and need to know If I can just "copy" a trooper or VX overhere.
TIA |

The 94 frontera over here had leaf spring, and in 95 this changed over to coil The problem is that the frontera's in the UK don't have Isuzu axles, they have some other GM unit. so the rear of a UK might have a different set up to a US one. I'm sure that someone may be able to provide pics though. _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Ok so it sounds like they had the D44 coil sprung like our 98+Rodeos and Amigo's
Starting in 92 the troopers here had a coil sprung isuzu 12 bolt and the vx when it was introduced also had the same setup.
I'd post a few pics but,alas I can't because I'm a neebie

The frontera's over here had a 10 bolt GM rear diff (not the isuzu one) on the laters and a sailsbury axle on the early one... it's a different beast to the Isuzu MU / Amigo / Rodeo... _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :
