It will bring the gearing back to stock if you take the larger diameter tyres into the equation. So hills will be easier.

My rad is a three bar 30% better cooling one.

I should really get a proper thermometer....

"Snap" with the rad Matt, but it will still store extra heat on long fast runs or high load runs. My 17 inch Kenlowe "special" will keep it under control no matter what I throw at it, but I always keep in mind just how much bigger the 3.1 rad is, from memory when I was trying to fit it into the MKI it's about 150 - 200mm taller! It just means that you can get a build up of heat that cannot be dissipated while you're still putting the load on the engine, but it will drop once you take the load off.

Hills will be easier but your average revs will be higher. Revs mean heat Sad

No revs will be the same as i will still be going 60 on the spedo. Fooling my self I know but I tend to drive to where the car is happy not to a speed if you see what I mean. I will be going the same speed on the speedo but slower on the sat nav Wink

The whole setup works fine except on long hills when towing.

I will fit the diffs and put the cone in the pump back to where it should be. I will look at a twin fan kit in the future too.

You should be able to get a sandwich plate that screws on in place of the filter and has two hose take offs, the filter then screws on to this plate so its like a spacer.  You can also get thermostatic plates so that the oil cooler is kept out of the loop until the oil is hot so it helps warm up times especially in winter.  I had one on my 1500 spit where cooling was always marginal (I remember sitting in a jam on the M6 one a blazing hot day with the heater on full blast to cool the damn thing down before I fitted the cooler)

I don't think they are specific, just a range of thread and diameters. Kenlowe make kits up to suit applications.
