Look down near the pulleys if it is there it may be the water pump seal, Not the end of the world mine was about 39 quid from local auto supplier. Best time to look is as soon as you switch engine off while it is warm.

I have not used the aircon and the leak is a steady drip. There is water around the pulleys.

I would say water pump then mate, There is a hole in the bottom of them that is sealed but this seal perishes after time and starts to leak, It also gradually gets worse, I would get it checked though before spending money on my say so, Or one of the others might post to either confirm my suspicions or give another explination. My money would be on the pump though.

IMHO the hole is there for the water to come out of when the bearing seal has failed, stops the water flying everywhere I suppose. Look for staining around the hole if it is leaking.

Its called a weep hole and I guess its there tho stop the bearing getting full of water when the seal fails.  I'd say definitely a duff water pumpo.  I think they're forty quid from Milners.

Just changed my water pump this weekend.  On the 3.5L it is behind the timing cover, so I was not for sure if it was leaking until I had the front of the motor apart.
