I have only one key for my -99 3.0 TD.  The local Opeldealer cannot find the code to program another key. Can anybody help me?

you need tech2 and the code is available from the importers who deal with all the isuzus in your country over here it's international motors i can't remember if they deal with norway or not.
anyway it's a 4 digit code your after unique to your vehicle and it's not stamped on the vehicle anywhere.

Problem is the car was originally sold in Croatia by a danish company that sell SUV's to Red Cross etc. There has not been a Isuzu-dealer in Norway since late 80's. The dealer that sell the new D-Max don't know anything about older Isuzu cars.

It may be a bit late but just joined this forum. I had the same problem when I bought my Trooper. Only one key was available.
I found an easy solution which might help others as well.
I bought 2 key blanks from the USA.
Any competent key cutter could cut them for you using your original as a template. Alternatively you can cut them yourself using a small hacksaw.

Keys are available on eebuygum. Apparently I am not allowed to post the link but if you search for '2 Plastic-Head Keys for 1992 - 2002 Isuzu Trooper' you should find it.

Hope this helps someone

I believe on the later models the key is chipped so this would not work i don't think.

I can get the blank keys at any key-dealer, the problem is the chip. What I need is the code for programming a new chip. Thank's anyway.
