hi just had the clutch changed on my rodeo, the mechanic phoned to say the warning light had come on when the clutch had been fitted, when you push the 4H button nothing happens hold it down and it flashs (you can hear a whine from the motor on the box) but does not engage also the "check 4WD" warning light is on constantly any help would be greatly apreciated

From memory some of the 2003-2006 Rodeo's have been prone to the shift motor failing...

its a 2005 model just there was no problems till the gearbox was dropped out

It could be one of the wires/plugs has been caught or pulled during the work..?

when the light comes on it means it has detected a fault in the limit switches in the motor, it normally means a new motor but you could try clearing the codes first and see if they come back.
