95 Citation 3.2 starting problem

Hi

My 1995 Trooper 3.2 Citation has just started to play up when starting.  Sometimes when I try to start from cold I just get a heavy duty click. This is with the tranny in Park. However if I try again in Neutral it usually seems to work !!!!!!!  If it don,t I just keep trying until it does, and it always eventually does go !  Battery is a brand new Varta 95 amp. 4x4 model so no problem there.  What do you think ? Starter motor ?
