Hi just wondered if anyone knows how to tell if my rodeo is an import. I had it serviced today (24,000) by my mechanic who on dismantling the front brakes found them seized solid and the discs needing replaced, when he went looking for discs he was told its an import. It was first owned by some one in Edinburgh and was sold by A.F Noble of Penicuik an Isuzu dealer.
My mechanic managed to get the discs skimmed for £25 each as opposed to £60-£70 each new.

Thanks
Campbell

To Markymoan
Who is IM and do you have a phone number?
My mechanic gave the chassis number to a parts company who told him it was an import and quoted him £60
Do you know where I can get discs for the price you said?
My truck is a 2.5 tdi 2wd twin cab registered 12/04.

IM is Isuzu Motors, the UK arm of Isuzu.  Have a look here at Milners, they stock disks for your truck.     http://www.milneroffroad.com/categories.asp?cID=10063&c=173159

i second what marky said.your mechanic or the parts provider is having a laugh. £40-60 a disk Shocked  Shocked  Shocked  my bighorn is a gray import but its the same parts as the trooper (discs ect) it wouldnt make sence for isuzu to make 2 different disks for the same motor. it would cost them more! bighorn rear disc from my local motor factors was £24 for the rear with the drum bit in the centre and they arnt rubbish (blue print!) he must be getting the parts from isuzu themselfes. i think they my charge £45ish but £60 Shocked ..................change your mechanic mate Wink

Just thought you might like to know that my Rodeo has just past 80,000 miles and still has its original pads and discs. Something must be bad if there knackered after 24000

Hi i second what every one else has said - i can get parts for the Vehicross really easy - just log onto the US web sites for brake parts the input the number into the UK site and you will find they are available in the UK -
also worth noting that most Vauxhall Frontera/Brava/Monterey are also identical to the trooper - if you ever need bits always worth posting on the forum for help - i am sure between us all we can locate the cheapest without compromising quality - example rear disc's and pads for the Vehicross £50 genuine Isuzu in a Vauxhall box - parts dealer clearout
cheers
Steve
