Thanks Dupa102

Welcome to the forum...Our part numbers may not be much use to you as most of us here in the UK use pattern parts as genuine Isuzu spares are a bit on the pricey side. However, I'm quite sure some rich UK Trooper owner that shops at main dealers can tell you! . I believe K&N also list a filter for the 3.1 TD Intercooler though, (it might not be listed for this application but it fits)  and that has to be a good option.

8-97044227.  Ya, I am rich Very Happy

Seriously, I buy original air filter because I don't trust the others. Not even K&N. If you do some Net search, there are comments  of it letting in more dust in diesel engine but seldom in petrol engine. That would make sense because turbo charged diesel simply let in more air.

So I buy original as a comparatively cheap insurance against overhaul.

Like I said, I don't know whether it's a specific application, it just fits or it was modified for the purpose but here is a ref for a filter that was used on a 3.1 td in the UK.

K&N 38-9154

Let us know what it comes up as!

Hi, My '91 with the 2.8 takes a FRAM CA4311 that I've found at Partsource.  I can't remember the numbers but there are some WIX, NAPA, and baldwin equivalants.  Not sure it it's the same though...
