I got my trooper back on monday after having the mot and remedial work carrried out, it ended up costing £321
Can anyone tell me if this is reasonable because i personally thought it was a wee bit excessive, this is the work they carried out:
Mot test (failed on cv boots, corroded brake pipe and some split pins missing from ball joint nuts, number plate partially obscured by towing bracket)
remedial work:
Replace 2 outer cv boots
replace split pins
replace 3 solid brake pipes
remove towing bracket/guard for duration of test
Mot partial retest
I did know about the cv boots and i supplied them i also attempted to fit them at the same time as i did the discs and pads but unfortunately i didnt have a big enough socket for the bottom ball joint hence the missing split pins
The garage had the car all day saturday sunday and monday |

Cheap enough, we'd charge that for a service! _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

Be cheap for a main dealer not bad really for a normal garage... that include labour, parts, vat? _________________

I'd need a bloody big tow hook to get in the way of my number plate _________________ LotusTower - '93 Lotus Bighorn |
