i wounder if anyone can help i have a trooper 3-0 have had it for about 3 years up to 5weeks ago its been faultles,5weeks ago it decided to run off on me on the m57 i was in the fast lane when it happend with no one in front of me speedo was reading 95m.p.h. and still accelerating i managed to get to the hard shoulder and stop the engine but it was screeming it head of ,i got it booked into the local isuzu garage who replaced the injectors free of charged, when i collected the car it was awkward to start so i complained, the guy who had done all the work on the car came out and told me he had taken the car for a test run and everything was o.k.if there had been damage to the engine it would have shown up in other ways and that maybe a bit of the old diesel contaminated oil was still in the engine i asked him to register my complaint as i was not happy, eversince the car is hard to start first thing when started it runs fine and will start no trouble all day.last week while on a short trip the engine warning light came on and stayed on till i got home i then restarted the engine and it went out and stayed out, with the past historyin mind i phoned i.m. in brum who told me to take it back to the garage and ask them to phone him, which i did .yesterday i collected the car was told that no fault codes where recorded and that the injectors have been checked and o.k. they have fitted a valve in the fuel line as they think its a fuel problem and the next step is to remove the head. as isuzu will not pay for the work i have had to bring the car home it is still hard to start even with the one way valve in but could it be a fueling problem even though i was o.k.prior to the run away.has anyone any ideas as to what the problem could be |

rail pressure sensor springs to mind but since it has already dieseled itself i'd be looking at oil pressure to the injectors and the duty ratio of the control valve to make sure the pump hasn't been damaged by the thin oil. |
