hi can any one help me with my 1999 3.0l td starting problem, the truck will start if u prime the filter before starting, it will rev up straight away but if u ease off it jus cutts out and once it has stopped u cant restart it for ages, i have tried the extra 2 of oil trick, i dont no wat else to try it has been a good truck but its starting to try my patience now any help would be great |

Sound's like the pipe ontop of the fuel tank has corroded allowing the engine to draw air into the fuel line, very common on troopers, you can fit some clear pipe in the fuel line at the filter and ckeck for air _________________ 2011 3.0l Hilux Invincible

Like our good man said the fuel pipe on the tank. The other one is fuel pipes airing on the clips to filter, the filter is tight enough on the housing. I understand the leak off pipe on cyl head can run back overnite, not in the short time like you have explained. Perhaps the expert can put you in the right direction with this fault. |

does sound like air i'd try a clear pipe in the fuel line and check for bubbles |
