I was having a check over today and have no idea how to remove the spare wheel. There seems to be some kind of fixation device in the middle?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Wes

Not sure what model you have but on mine there are three bolts that hold the spare to the carrier. Protruding from the middle of the wheel is a sort of snout with a slight upturn on the end, this supports the weight of the wheel while undoing or doing the bolts up. There is also provision for attaching a padlock through one of the unused wheel stud holes & the wheel carrier. Is it perhaps this that is stopping your wheel coming off. The bolts holding the wheel on are the same head size as the wheel nuts.

you need to link together some rods that should be in the tool kit then from the tailgate end it should slide in to what looks like a funnel then using the wheel brace as a handle wind the wheel down

you join the jack handle rods together and use that to low the tyre down and up ,the bumper has a hole ,if no bumper you can see the tube going to the winch
