|
|
Hi All,
Can the immobiliser be turned off to eliminate it from non starting faults..? If so how is this done..? we have two key fobs which open and close the central locking, immoiliser light flashes when armed and goes out when disarmed, just not sure it is actually doing it's job properly..
We have an on going non starter, long thread already running... it's been on a tech 2 and another diagnostic machine and they both pointed to either a faulty injector loom or a crank sensor / ecu..
Both operators didn't sound that confident in their diagnosis but it all points to the injectors not operating.. which leads us to think the immobiliser is at fault... phew!!
thanks

Dont think it can unless you have the 4 digit security code but tech II can check the immobiliser function - the fob is just the anti theft side ,door locks and horn and seperate to it.
Did none of these diagnostic men do the click test on the injectors ? That would show if the electronic part was ok. |

The immobilizer stops injectors , starter and ropcv . Yours still spins over ? so possibly not an immobilzer fault just yet . |
