Its coming from the bottom nut thing on the head, you can see the top one in this pic I found.
The question is, how is it sealed and is anything going to jump out when I undo it  Confused

If we are looking at the same nut, I would guess its the access plug to do the tappets. So if you take the bottom one of you should only get a bit of oil out. Try using a new fibre washer and a bit of PTFE tape.

It is the tappet access cover, should be no oil coming out of there if you lift the head up about 3-4 inches,

Gen honda ones have no gasket, and need none, just clean it up and it should seal, but as the op posted, a LITTLE ptfe tape should be fine.

Mark, as we have previously discussed, I have a workshop full of those engines, and bits for them.

The engine is in a chinese 110cc pit bike so its a copy lol

re:ps thanks but I should be fine, I just havnt messed with bikes for about 20 yrs  Shocked

re:pps Our next trip is in 4 weeks, its not laning, we have booked parkwood4x4 in bradford for a private playday & two nights camping, BBQ, music etc  Cool
