Hi  there everyone,

I'm looking for a recommendation for an independent 4WD specialist in the South Somerset / North Dorset / SW Wiltshire area to look after my 2002 3.0 Trooper.  My local Isuzu dealer has a good rep with local farmers, but he wants to charge £500 for a 48k service!

Web searching for 4WD specialists in my area leads me to companies such as Lan-Trac in Shaftesbury and Dorset 4x4 in Sturminster Newton, but are they any good?

Further to my request last year for a decent garage in the South Somerset area, I've found one and can heartily recommend the services of Vale Auto Services near Henstridge on the Somerset / Dorset border.

Don't be confused by the similarity in the name which is uncannily close to our local Isuzu dealer.  Vale Auto Services has a long background with Isuzu and has dramatically improved the running condition of my Troop .  Importantly, the good service is matched by a keen price - a full 60k service and some additional bits and pieces (requested by me) has cost us just £256.
