I have a problem with a 2000 2.7tdi,
The nice chap Confused  at the garage said 'code 21 Right hand front ABS circuit open' £36
We replaced the sensor and took it back, he did a reset and it came back with the same code, £36
He said it could be the other side as he doesnt know if it means the right hand side or looking from the front  Rolling Eyes
So I unplugged both sides and did a volt test on the feeds, both read 4.6V Ish (cheap multimeter) I did a resistance test on both sensors and they both read 1.5 ohms ish.
We dont want to keep replacing things and taking it back at £36 a go soooooo, any ideas  Question

MMMMM, start engine and ABS light goes out, if you drive it forwards as much as an inch the light comes on  Confused
So I take it that the ABS system is speedo related because if you jack the front end up and spin the wheels by hand the light stays out.
We are going to check the wiring loom later for chaffing then I think its time to call a Vet  Twisted Evil

Behind the intercooler there is a joint in the loom, we stripped the plastic cover from the joint and BINGO.
A blue and a pink wire inside a grey sheath had broken, all fixed  Cool
