Thats standard dual band, any simm card should work as long as its not locked to a network. _________________ |

Looks like a good idea although you will need a sim card to go with it and most pay as you go stop working if you dont use them |
Yeah, thought about that already - I'm gonna put my old virgin PAYG sim card in it. As long as I request the tracker unit to text me it's lat/long once every 90 days the sim will stay active. The £7 left on the sim card should last for as long as the useful life of the unit even after I've played with it for a few days and checked out all the warning functions |
let us know how you have got on with it as it seems a good idea _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

Cheers, I had a look at that before purchase and it takes a bit of fathoming but basically I think you text the SIM card inside the unit to tell it everything you want it to do using codes / coordinates.
It's a true Geeks product, so it appeals to me
Free link to manual HERE or rather, you don't need to register or anything _________________ 2001 3.0 DT LWB Duty - Dragon Green Metallic. |

BTW, what currency is it ?
It says they are from Hong Kong but that would make it about £7.50 _________________ |

LOL.
US dollars.
As long as it works it makes it a bit of a bargain as UK resellers are selling them for £109.99.
If its pants then - a fool and his money.......... _________________ 2001 3.0 DT LWB Duty - Dragon Green Metallic. |

I'm pleased to report that the GPS tracker works great!
Following the precise info in the set up guide does tax the old grey matter a bit though
Instructions are on a cd rom in the box. unless your are wiring in the SOS button or the 12v feed to disable a fuel pump or cut off an electrical circuit remotely by text then there are just the 12v supply wires. The rest of the set up and the working of the device is all done through text messages using strings of numbers to tell the unit what you want it to do and it replies to you once it's done it all.
Yep - a geeks toy indeed _________________ 2001 3.0 DT LWB Duty - Dragon Green Metallic. |
