well ive looked back at some other threads and seen that 10 w 40 semi sythitc oil is fine.
im having mine changed in the morning and got all the stuff here ready apart from the oil. is the halfords home brand of and how much do i need to get ? 6 ltr's ?
now a bit of a rant i dont mind paying at all but if it is 6 ltr's they charge you x amount for 4ltr's then as you need a top up on to its over half again on price for that !
ive been having starting problems over the last couple of months and i had a guess it was the starter. well i had a new one fitted but guess what ! same thing was happening. turns out it was the imoblizer not cutting off. for the time being i havent had it ripped out as i only use the car ever so offten for shooting. but this last week the new starter i had is sticking now and im not to happy about it.
as anyone on here had trouble with there imoblizer on there trooper or monterey ?
last rant sorry guys sometimes when im in 4x4 on my shooting ground it seams to click ? is this the hubs ? it go's back into 2 wheel drive fine ? or is it a big problem coming up with the 4x4 system |

Yup 10w/40 semi fine, as is 6 litres quantity. My local motor factors are normally cheaper on oil, and considering how often an oil change comes around, buying in a larger quantity can work out cheaper, mine sells in 25 litre drums also. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

I used Halfords semi synthetic for a wehile and it was fine. Free wheeling hubs can slip, sometimes they respond well to a clean and a regrease but they can wear out. The hubs on my MK1 used to slip with a bloody great big bang every so often. I replaced them with manual hubs. _________________ Phil
