Please could someone advise us.  Our 2002 02 Trooper Insignia has the message Check Engine keep appearing on the dash.  When everyone has had their "recall problems" was there any such warnings?  If not could anyone advise the problem anyway...please?!?

Most likely throttle body, not too much of a panic...To check on recall staus ring IM,quoting VIN or Reg Number...

Aha..from Von Gribble"Number for Isuzu is  0121  7474000 ask to speak with somebody about recall work and have the VIN/Reg handy .
See how you get on and get back to us please, the more feedback we get,the more we can learn, the more we can help..(With the obvious exceptions   Embarassed )
Cheers

Just in case you happen to still be online.  Would your diagnosis still be the same if the car is overheating?

Different ball game, but start with original prognosis, and give more info on overheating problem...Still call IM re recall status..

oops, check engine light been on for 6 years now, would miss it if it went out!!
It comes on 10-15 seconds after start, proving system self checking OK!!
