thanks for reply i think its an import because its got a gold rocker cover, all writing on back of fuse boxes and things is in japanese and when you plug it in to a computer its still in japanese total confusion!! and it being a direct injection engine hence fuel being sent straight through instead of glow plugs therefore im having mayjor problems with cold starting i dont think fuel is being sent through quick enough it takes about 6 to 8 attempts in a morning and today my bettery flatened it was that bad? any ideas? |

Isn't the 3.0l in the rodeo a development of the old 2.8? In which case it definitely has glow plugs. _________________ Phil

depends on what country it was destined for if it was saudi arabia it might not have them as their rodeos don't have a heater system either |

If it genuinely doesnt have glow plugs, you might need to consider a block heater (about £200-300) -they are easy enough to fit and mean that you can always start the car from warm. The only down side is either they use diesel to run, or, you have to have a mains supply to warm the car up. _________________ '98S reg Irish Trooper 3.0DT Citation (LWB 7seat)

the glow plugs should be by the injectors ,if you have the gold engine cover on you will have to pull it off ot see them |
