My best mate started his IT career as a field service engineer for ICL, some of the stories come pretty close to that, one customer called in to say their 5.25" disk drive was broken and wouldn't take any more disks.  Turned out they'd been feeding them into a gap between the drive and casing so the interior was stuffed full of disks.  Makes you wonder if they didn't question why the disks didn't ever come out again, maybe they thought they were fuel?

Oh where to start...!!
15 years doing this for a living!  From the sublime - ive plugged my mouse in but its not on the screen - into a text terminal via the printer port - to the rediculous - cup holders (cd trays) breaking, finding the mouse cable cut into 1" sections and laid beautifully in line to look as if its not cut to pieces...

To the 'i put my photo paper in here and it hasnt come out again' - 8'x4' injet paper into a giant 5K colour laser...

and all the rest...
