Are you ready!!  Failed MOT in november on Desiel leak, garage phone isuzu to say it has a recall on injecters!  Garage did work, passed MOT,  2 weeks later developed an even worser! leak claimed it was a Steel feed pipe rail transfer/banjo connection cracked and extension tube slack, they removed pipe resealed fitted new copper washers and fitted new fuel pipe.  4 weeks later it started pissin desiel again same place but even worse to it back, they said the pipe had not been tightened enough.  3 weeks ago truck went on journey from Inverness to Aberdeen it just wasnt running right by the time it was in aberdeen there was very little power and the whole truck was shaking put it into a gargae he lifted the bonnet, first thing he noticed was teh wire loom for teh injecters was not bolted proper it was just flapping around, time belt needed done, fixed that for truck not to start, mech not keen to do anything said it was an injecter fault, didnt want to touch it would ruin teh warranty!  Sent truck to his mate, didnt have the tech 21 computer had to put it to isuzu in Aberdeen, saw job card when I picked teh truck up on Monday, no injecter sleeves were fitted and Injecters 1 and 3 were not working,  drove it back from Aberdeen and it wasnt right not quick enough got it home, went to start it 3 hrs later and it wouldnt idle, rev from 0 to 2000 iractically then cut out start again take foot off throttle and it would cut out put foot flat to the floor and there would be nothing whole truck shaking violently.  Called garage again told me not injectors time belt prob, got AA out nothing wrong with the truck mechanically and that the truck has not been fixed properly.  what now

ok so it's had a set of injectors recently so the chances it's them are pretty slim, i'm thinking it's got an oil pressure problem or lack of fuel.
i take it it has the correct oil in it which should be a 5/30 fully synthetic
so make sure the oil level is on max then add a further 2 litres does it make any difference to the running of the engine?
if it does then the strainer in the sump has fallen off and will need replacing.
if it doesn't then you need to remove the white wire which could be yellow with age from the injector wiring plug by the dipstick, it's right in the middle of one of the rows of wires on the engine side of the loom you can't get it wrong as the half is all pinks!
if it changes the way it runs i.e it idles and revs up ok with out cutting out then you need a new oil rail pressure sensor, this sensor causes a whole host of running problems but pulling the white wire is a test only don't drive it as it's fuelling will be wrong.
try these and report back!

Thanks for that, had it in another garage yesterday to get the brakes done, they notice the pipes from teh tank to the engine were rotten had them all changed and it seem to be ticking over ok, tehy took it out for a test drive went ok got it back switched off and tried to restart it, it wouldnt, they eventually got it started, flipped the bonnet and there was a ticking noise comming from somewhere near the inctectors!!  Do you think that because the first garage made such an *beep* of fitting the first set of injectors that they could have caused a more serious problem, teh secong garage that has fitted the second set teh first job was a complete mess!  the joys!!!!
