I just started mooching about in the caravan (never used it yet) to check the electrics etc.
I come across the charger and its small battery, my question is,,,,, what will a Lab-Craft TP.2 MKIV power, it looks pretty small to me  Confused

yeah my caravan leisure charger is tiny too, caravans dont draw huge loads anyway but mine works when 240v connected and tops up the battery if needed.

Mine was a 10A Charger which is tiny, for instance your alternator will output 50A per hour, thus charging up an "empty" 600A Battery in 12 Hours

The voltage multiplied by the current (amps) is watts.  So if you have a power supply of 12 volts at 15 amps, it can supply 180watts of power.

A 12 volt headlamp bulb at 55 watts requires 4.58 amps to fully illuminate it.   55 watts dvided by the volts, 12, equals 4.58 amps.

I have a graphic of all the relationships between volts, amps, watts and resistance (ohms) somewhere. I will try to dig it out.

Clear as a bell, I can use 150 watts and the battery wont drain while plugged in, if I push 180 then its fighting.
I'll check the rating of the fridge and lights in the morning  Smile
Thank you  Very Happy

Ps. the last post was on par with the football offside rule  Confused  Laughing
