I think the convention across all manufacturers is just under the dash on the drivers side.
I am usually wrong. Very Happy

Trouble for me is that you Poms always date by rego plate numbers (eg 'M-reg' or '51-plate') rather than year of manufacture  Laughing

(don't take offense - I was born in Pommie-land  Wink )
