|
|
Anyone out there got any good companies to look to for insuring my Trooper when I go back to Ireland?
She is Irish registered and as we came back for 6 month break we took English insurance as no companies over there would do what they called an international policy that would cover me comprehensively wherever I was.
I did bare that in mind and wondered how overlanders that travel for more than 3 months cope with their policies? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

Don't most policies cover for the EU? |

yes the eu is covered by most insurers but only limmited time frames and provided you're returning to the home of your policy, besides a lot of English main land insurers wont touch me in Ireland, but will happily quote if I lived in the faulkland isles
Suppose I will have to start looking now before we touch down, wonder if Sean Quinn went bust in the finish? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

NI is only seeing an increase in its premiums in trouble spots but its just that south is a country seperate to English mainland and insurers dont seem to usually cover it, its a bit rubbish really because my policy is £360 in uk but got two seperate quotes in Ireland and they're talking 800+ euro for TPFT not even a fully comp policy
Can get a faster faster on the road for less than 150 euro but not exactly my beloved blunder bus is it? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |
