Try an American vehicle specialist as I use 10W30 in my Chevy, I currently use Penzoil.

Yep me too, change the oil and filter at 3K on my 2.8, but then a filter from Milners is something like £2.50, so I buy one of their full filter kits and a couple of extra oil filters for the intermediate changes between the full services.

Are Milner filters made in Japan? I wonder if these filters perform as Isuzu parts. The prices are very attractive, but any chance of poor filtration causing expensive problems. It may be cheaper in the (hopeful) long-run to use manufacturer's parts. What do you think?
What mileage has your "treasure" done?

Yep, they are all japanese made Boshi brand filters, all the brake pads etc are also japanese made. They must import them by the container load. My 91 MK 1 2.8TD has only done just a few miles over 100,000K miles.

Many thanks for info; I've just ordered 2 filter kits.

Great service from Milners: kits arrived within 24 hours of ordering.
Elsewhere I asked for advice on how best to change fuel filter. Fortunately none was forthcoming, so that forced me to have a good look-see first, and I did then manage to fathom out pretty easy way which didn't require removing fuel pipes at all.

The cup oil filter wrench is probably the handiest tool for 3.0L Trooper owners, and once I removed the fuel filter shield and the 2 retaining bolts on the filter head, I held the housing in a Mole Grip and used the wrench and my ratchet to loosen the filter itself. No problems, other than the need to prime the filter a couple of times. Replacement just the reverse.

Again, replacement of secondary filter a "relative" breeze with this cup wrench and all my extension bars.
If you haven't got one get one soon. Look at Filter Wrench posts for source.
