|
|
HI
DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO RESET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO MAKE IT GO OFF? THE BOOK SAYS IT NEEDS A SERVICE WHEN IT STAYS ON. MY TROOPER IS HAVING A SERVICE ON SUNDAY BY A MECHANIC I USE BUT I DONT KNOW IF HE WILL KNOW HOW TO RESET IT.
ITS DONE 113000 MILES SO I WONT BE TAKING IT TO MAIN DEALER ANYMORE.
I BOUGHT A WHOLE SERVICE KIT FROM MILNERS SO THE MECHANIC WILL FIT IT ALL.
ALSO IT HAD CAMBELT DONE AT 74000 MILES IN 2004 WHEN DOES IT NEED DOING AGAIN?
THE TROOPER DRIVES VERY WELL BUT THE CLUTCH IS RIGHT AT THE TOP BUT DOESNT SLIP, CAN THESE BE ADJUSTED?
MANY THANKS

Please can you not use CAPITALS - its makes reading you post very difficult
Engine check light is nothing to do with service interval - you need the codes read and then rectify the fault
cheers

To reset engine check light.
1) disconnect positive battery lead.
2) touch negative lead (or earth) with positive lead.
You will have to reset all radio presets and clock afterwards. _________________ 2000 Trooper Citation 3.5 V6 LPG converted - power/reliability/economy
