Finally go round to stopping my sunroof leaking

The leak seemed to have fixed itself until  the snow started to thaw Embarassed

Mark Hayes suggested  using "Oil of Olay"  on the seal last February Exclamation  Exclamation

Is this a record for taking up advice from the forum Question  Question  Question

A Merry Christmas to all and thanks to everyone for their  valued advice which has kept our Monty on the road for another year.

mine leaked when i first got it, i take it's a Webasto one ?

I took the whole thing out and cleaned the rubbers, all facings, glass etc and gave the rubbers a good spay of silicone based smelly stuff and hey presto it ain't leaked since.

They are wierd as there is no run off pipes, (they usually go down the front pillars and exit through the inner wing).

They usually leak due to lack of maintenance and shrinkage of the rubber seals.
