PMR as in the last link are good for maybe 1 mile, I'm pretty sure Aldi have them at the moment Wink

All PMR radio's are limited to 500mW transmit power - as a result their performance is limited and further hampered by obstacles (of which just a car windscreen makes a big difference!), they are also limited to fixed antennae. If you want decent range swap to something like the Mitex with 5W transmit power (you may need a license though!)
