I have a 91 2.8td Trooper LWB. The engine runs fine and smooth and the coolant gets hot, but this heat is not transferred to the heater (bloody cold right now!!). I have fitted a new 'hot' thermostat with no difference. Any ideas?

Has someone disconnected the heater core in the past to cure a leak? Are the levers moving the assorted flaps? Is there a shut-off valve somewhere in the pipework? Could even be a silted up heater core or even an airlock. I'd start off by checking all the levers are pulling what they should eb (sometimes the air diverter flaps in heater boxes can become losse on their shafts and not move even though the shaft does), check the opipeworks is all OK and connected and then consider flushing the heater core with a hosepipe.
