|
|
I've just got a set of anti roll bar bushes from Milners, the rears are 19mm, which fit, but the fronts are 25mm......my front bar is 28mm
Milners say they have only seen 'one or two' with the bigger bar, they don't stock bushes for it, but have supplied a pair of 27mm, which will do fine. So, is it 'cos I've got a Duty, or is there a model code number on the bulkhead plate to identify troops with 28mm fitted? _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

All the 3.0DT's have the 28mm bar, and the bushes are a dealer only part . _________________

They've sent me 2 27mm ones, came today
They will probably fit as they are or I can open them up a nadgers with the Dremel, they have got a textured pattern inside, so just need to remove that until its smooth
Great service off Milners as far as I'm concerned! _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

1mm isn't quarter inch is it
0.5mm off all the inside hole will take seconds to remove....I reckon they would do without fettling anyway! And as the option is dealer prices, I WILL make them fit _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

The point is that they keep sending the wrong ones and allways give the same excuse, Has anybody priced ones from a dealer? _________________ |

I see your point, its the circumference, not the diameter, but I'm going to remove the 1mm anyway, and I've measured the bar where the bush fits: its actually 27.77mm, probably been worn down a bit due to wear
Genuine ones are £9.77 each, in rubber, so I am defo going to make the polyurethane ones fit!
My mate's got a modded Rangey says they leave the worn rubber ones on to give a softer ride........says it all really _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB

You'll get more suspension movement with the rubber ones _________________

I had exactly the same answer from them when I bought some bushes recently, I called them up and emailed them and they gave me the excuse that I must have a non standard bar fitted and they have never had any sent back! it annoys me when a company blatantly lie to me.
I ordered ones from the dealer without asking for a particular size and surprise surprise they were the right size which confirms what I tried to tell Milners on several occasions, that I have a completely standard bar and they are selling products that are the incorrect size. |
