Anyone got a rc crawler?
A few pics of my rig, Tamiya CR-01 with unimog shell, it's got an upgraded motor, wheels have added weight to stop it tipping over, 70grams in each front and 50 grams in each rear. It has mega low range crawler gears, 4 wheel steering, rear steer is on it's own channel so can be switched off when not needed. Both diffs are locked, beadlock rims with cut back tyre foams to give more flex in the tyres, electrics are water proofed! Quite a capable little bit of kit.
Pics were taken at the coast on wet rocks, drove them with little issue and gripped quite well climbing them.

Nice
We had a Disco3 with duel 19v motors, sadly the kids took it wading and found out that it couldnt swim and the electrics wasnt waterproof _________________
I figured it was a good idea to water proof the electrics on this! Have driven it into a little pool without checking depth and it was roof deep!!! Good job I check depth with the big un _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++

Made a few changes to the crawler, new shell, gone back to 2 wheel steering using a stronger servo, fitted a better motor and added a bit more weight to the front wheels.

I know it's not technically classed as a crawler, more a basher / crawler "crossover", but this is my little baby.............
Traxxas Summit. 16.8 volts, Hi / Low box, locking front and rear diffs, all controlable from the transmitter. Independent susp all round. Oh, and it's waterproof .
It may not be scale, but it is a whole lotta fun
