ok, so what's best for everyday driving, taking everything into consideration apart from depreciation...a late 3.1td or an early 3.0, i have a bit of a quandry here.... |

For what its worth, I'd go for a late 3.1, a simpler & generally more reliable motor with less issues, have a look in the recall notices page at the 3.0/4jx1 thread & you'll see what I mean. If it was me I wouldn't go buying into that potential hassle, brilliant motor that the 3.0 in theory should & can be.

i own a great 3.0ltr but in all fairness the 3.1 seems the way to go |

thanks mates.....the 3.0 seems great when it works, but the problems on the site seem to be 10:1 against it !!!!
i was being seduced by the increase in bhp i think... |
