Isuzu Trouper Throttle Increase Recall
Recall Summary
Engine speed may increase unintentionally.
Recall Issue
Isuzu have found that some Trouper 3.0 Diesels may experience an unintentional increase in engine speed. It is possible that the internal contact resistance of the crimped joints for the grounding between the throttle position sensor (TPS) and engine control module may increase due to engine vibration. This can lead to an increased TPS voltage output, which could lead to an increase in engine revolutions whilst at idle, without any throttle input.
Isuzu are recalling all affected Trouper 3.0 Diesels for the installation of a new wiring harness.
Isuzu Troupers Affected By This Recall
There are 12,557 Isuzu Troupers affected by this recall. They were built between January 1993 and December 2003.
What Should Isuzu Trouper Owners Do?
If you have, or believe you may have, one of the affected Isuzu Troupers then please contact your local dealer.

I was passing my local Isuzu Dealer today so I stopped and asked about this recall.
It's not a recall but it is an enhancement, so if you have a 3.0ltr you should in due course be receiving
a letter about it, or phone your local dealer with your reg and they should book it in for you.
I use and recommend WELSH GROUP GARAGES london rd Gt Shelford Cambridge cb22 5dd
01223 843015 for those that are close to this area, told them I was on ITOC and they are only to pleased to help.
The part in question is W0076 TPS HARNESS _________________ aka x66dag

Any more to this?
It is legit?
A wiring harness exchange can't mean 'full' harness - so how long should it take? _________________ If you google google it breaks the whole internet |

yes its legit aduncan,
i got a phone call from derek slacks this week to say about this, and although my car has this fault, because its a 3.1 import its not being done, not under warranty or recall anyway, although it dosent really bother me as such, i just start the car and give it big revs while i settle myself in the car and can then reverse without it lurching. |
