Just curious but how do you all power your CB's?
Anyone Use a cigar lighter plug set up or is it best to wire it directly to the battery?

Mine is directly wired (with a fuse of-course) but a lot are now supplied with the aux socket plug. _________________

As far as I know if you wire directly to the battery (with a fuse) you get less interference. That's how mine is done. _________________ 2000 3.0 Trooper Duty swb |

This one is on a cig plug but my mk1 was wired to the interior light as it was bolted through the roof. _________________ |

Got an auxiliary fuse box for all the extra electrics with a switch in the engine bay (switched off usually as extras are more for off road then daily use).
Wire to battery if a permanent install otherwise plug into the cig lighter for ease. _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

Cheers for the replies.
Do you have any interference issues with the ciggy set up Mark?

I have found a socket behind the dash that is ignition live. Look OEM as well. However I get major interferance when operating the windshield/headlamp washers. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
