Visited Silverdale yesterday with a couple of friends. This place has been my bogey site.
First time it cost me a clutch, second I thought was a U-joint but turned out to be a loose nuts on the front prop shaft (as I didn't get out the car park much p#ss taking ensued)
So I was determined to get through it unscathed....... I nearly did it.

Although it took me 30 mins at the jet wash just to get the mud out I really like this place for pay & play.
As its forest based the track are pretty narrow & twisty & require more thought than just blasting up a hill (although some blasting took place!!)

Post Status Report :
- New alternator (dash lights on & dials are going all over)
- New License plate (see vid - driven by my pal)
- Drivers door dented (See pic)

All in all we had a great day.

That looks like a nice site, and you have a few nice battle scars now  Smile

Do they have a website listing play dates?

Frank,

I usually use these 2 sites for info, although there are more.

http://www.4x4calendar.co.uk/
http://www.4x4web.co.uk/offrd.html      (this one seems to have lost most of its list??)

Silverdale website : http://www.exploreoffroad.com/

Like previously stated, Silverdale is a good site because there are many many tracks.
There are a couple of bog holes to avoid, but then I dont go through anything unless I've seen someone else do it first, some would say slightly homosexual I would sensible!!

As for the water, the other good thing about this site is as its mostly covered with trees its hold the moisture in the ground which adds to the fun.

Another positive note.......... I HAD TO RESCUE 2 LANDROVERS FROM STUFF THE TROOPER BREEZED THROUGH... Ahh the joy of it  Laughing  Laughing

Jonceballos,

I realise it has taken me a month to reply so apologies.
Bought the snorkel off eebuygum & having just checked the price has gone. Nevertheless it's till a good buy & a pretty good product, of all the problems I've had with the truck drowning it is not one of them!!
