My truck pictured here is a Chevy Luv 2800turbo...which is actually an import Isuzu tfs55...

2.8td non intercooled isuzu engine, much lower gearing than a 2.8 fronty and a LSD in the rear...
Bought off eebuygum with 4wheel drive broken its re-creation began...

Looked sad didnt it....nasty wheels and way too low....
the plan was to keep it stock....
but that kinda didnt happen...

First came the body lift and some fronty sport alloys and AVM manual hubs fixing the 4wd...

Then a truckman top and some deep dish 16" alloys...

Next came the spring over axle conversion and torsion bar windup

And now how the old beast looks now...

Thanks for lookin.... Very Happy  Very Happy

Posting your 2.8 pics is more than welcome. Gives people ideas on what to do on our trucks buddy!

Just read through that SOA thread. I know of an LSD Mk.I Trooper axle and front diff in a scrappy near me. Might go pillage and start fabricating. I have the box section at work as well. Seems simple enough to do. Having the assembly ready to throw on once made up would save a lot of hassles.

Out of interest this would give how much lift at the back ... and did you just wind the torsion bars up at the front to match. Thought that front torsion bar lifts are only good up to about 2-3" max.

Gives about 6" of lift at the rear Neal Cool  Cool  Cool Can be more if you want by increasing the distance between the axle cut out and the spring mating face on the axle bracket. Wouldnt go too mad or you will start to induce axle wrap, which would necessitate the need for a upper link from the top of the axle to the frame of your truck.
You aint gonna lift the front to match easily so I would go 2-3" TB windup, and then go for a graduated body lift like I explained to you up the woods mate, go 4" BL at the front down to 1" at the rear.

Will bang some pics up soon of some of the other trucks seeing as thats cool... Wink

I've come across a few American rigs over here with CHEVROLET on the tailgate and the red GMC badge up front. Guess it's like the British Leyland badges on a Mini.  Wink

Vauxhall Frontera A Series Arch trims. Direct fit, though if you look at the rear ones you can see the notches where they go around the rear doors.
