Just got a quote from Tesco's (my existing insurer) for a renewal on my 93 3.1 Duty LWB. They wanted £490 ( Shocked )

Rang a couple of 4x4 specialist insurers and got a quote from Roadsure - 020 8989 9595 for .... £165, yes that is £165!!!

This covers green laning etc, but as I only do a few thousand miles a year, they could offer considerable discounts.

I rang Tesco to give them the chance to be competitive and all they could say was that won't price match and that there was no further discount available. Fine by me, so Roadsure it was.

Also Roadsure recognised the ITOC, and that all went in my favour.

Snowball is also worth a try (as per a previous post) but Roadsure beat them by over £100 too.

Regards

Jerry

Norwich Union decided they wanted £770 for my 97 SWB Trooper this time round,I pointed out that I'd just put a £300 Cat 1 alarm on it,and after phoning head office they offered to knock £15 off...
Rang Roadsure,£520 through Royal Sun Alliance, pleasant and helpful with it.Guess who got my money?

Royal Sun Alliance decided later that they didnt like my bullbar and sidesteps, and cancelled the policy.Roadsure sorted out an alternative policy and arranged with RSA that there would be no cost to myself for the time they covered my vehicle.Nice one,Roadsure...
