I got 5 metres to run the fuel feed pipe from back to front following the original route and had a little piece left over, so I would guess at 5 metres of 8mm and 10 metres of 6mm for the return and breather.

I changed mine on my mk1 lwb, but used copper then a small piece of rubber hose at each end.
Its actually 1/4 and 5/16 hose, work`s fine no leaks.

Thanks for the input guys, I also considered copper as I have used it before for fuel lines( and for heating systems cos I am heating engineer) but it is now quite expensive, so I have purchased a coil of 10mm/8mm bore, plastic oil line and will use this, if and when I succeed I will report either way, at £35 for 50mtrs its cheap enough(and bendy) if successful I will have plenty left over, if anyone needs some, I,ll get started next week.

Cheers
