i have a sony CDX-M600R mask head unit ......code worked no prob whenever i had to disconnect batteries or take unit out
except last time....now it won't accept code...have looked on web and found loads of advice about sony codes but nothing working....looks like a trip to local sound specialist to have it re-coded again (already had it done once as i forgot code) so another £20 down the drain  Evil or Very Mad

If you need to disconnect in the future, run a patch lead to one of those 9v batteries. Make sure you use perm live lead, and not ignition!

No need to cut the wire, just split and patch in before disconnecting and it will keep the code. Every time it loses power, it will revert back to original factory coding.
