Its a "tell tale" hole leaking from there means the pump shaft seal is on its way out so time to replace pump I'm afraid. _________________ Khotso........... |

try filling the expansion bottle and radiator turn the heating on full and start the engine leaving the radiator cap off, leave the engine to get to normal running temp, theoretically any air should then be forced round to the highest point i.e the open radiator cap, you may see bubbles which is a good thing unless they don't stop which would indicate head gasket problems........................I think _________________ 2001 Trooper 3.0 Citation Lwb. 33" BFG's, Superwinch X9, 60mm lift, Monroe Adventure Shocks, Hid Spots and a Yaesu FT7900 2m/70cm's Radio

they don't flush out you need to change it, there was 2 types of rad for the trooper the first was a single row which was very thin to look at and they then brought out the modded version which was a twin row and was better but it still furred up inside. usuall shows up down the motor way, at 70 they seem ok but 80 and they get hot it just restricts flow a bit. |

I am doing this now how long do I leave it running once normal temp? |

Once its up to temp the heater should be blowing hot air and the air bubbles should have stopped appearing at the radiator, indicating that the Thermostat has opened and closed, once its stopped bubbling you can turn it off
If there was an air lock it should have gone
If its still overheating then I think its a new radiator as per Eithan H I'm afraid, mine was over heating but my radiator was completely blocked between the fins with silt (to many deep ponds whilst offroading) _________________ 2001 Trooper 3.0 Citation Lwb. 33" BFG's, Superwinch X9, 60mm lift, Monroe Adventure Shocks, Hid Spots and a Yaesu FT7900 2m/70cm's Radio
