Changed my first fuel filter today
For those like me who have not done this before it was easy; took off the bracket, undid the two bolts holding filter in place, marked the rubber pipes so they wouldn't be mixed up and lifted filter out. Hard part was getting old filter off but when I fitted new one filled up with fuel first and then put back on, undid bleed screw and primed it until clear fuel ran out. Fired her up and bingo
Filter cost me £18 and I saved £35 labour cost!!
Think ill do other service items from now on but next job is new cam belt but not ready for that yet |

Thanks for that d12. How long did it take you and what tools do you need?
I have basic tools available so would be more inclined to focus on basic service items, But you right about the feeling of doing it yourself! |
