Just to share a little something here which I have been doing for a while now.
If you love your engine, get yourself an oil extractor.
On troopers (and other vehicles) I regularly get up to a litre of oil more (than service spec) out with an extractor than just by draining from the plug.
They cost less than £50 and make the new oil stay cleaner much longer.
Cheap investment in my books.

i just jack the car over slightly so it gets more out of the sump, the 3'0l though holds 2 litres of oil more in it's injection system when you do an oil change so even jacking it over or sucking it out won't get rid of it
