Air getting in maybe. They tend to rot where the metal pipes go into the top of fuel tank, check to see if it's damp around that area. _________________ Bighorn 3.1TD SWB (1993), 3" suspension lift, snorkel

Sounds like the tanks getting air locked. Next time it does it undo the filler cap and see if there's a woosh of air. _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |

Bad ... means the breather is blocked and the tank is under vacuum. The woosh of air is the tank sucking air in via the filler cap. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition

If the breather is blocked then as it uses fuel it creates a vacuum in the tank. The breather should allow air into the tank to compensate for the fuel going down. The breather is the small pipe that runs alongside the filler pipe to the top of the tank. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
