Anybody got any thoughts on the different cranking times between troopers
I have two similar age and mileage
1 starts really quickly 2/3 cranks the other 6/7
Given that the hp pump has a small store of oil for starting is it pump performance or leakage at the ROPCV that is the issue.
I have ruled out fuel.
I suspect one turns over a bit quicker than the other and may be relevant
Any ideas

They all vary, but should stsrt within 2-3seconds. Could be fuel draining out of the head overnight, or air getting in through filter top. Does it start any better when its been used?

Your last comment may suggest that one set of batteries isn't as good as the other, worth comparing if one appears to spin over faster

my two are the same, the old one (X reg 130.000) starts and sounds better than the newer(54 plate 72,000) even though the newer one has just had new rops, ropcv injectors and injector wiring harness fitted, they both seem to crank the same but just take a different amount of time to fire.
