Can someone please tell me the function of the electrical plastic piece on bottom of the fuel primer pump filter head is.  Will the fuel primer pump filter work without any electrical connection?

Thanks

If it's a 3.1 diesel then that's the water in the filter sensor and it will run just fine without it .

If it's not a 3.1 then best you post up some more Intel .
