a serious suspension reinforcing will have to be done before install that heavier engine into a Troopie...

I have a similar idea in mind. Want to put an NPR/NPS engine, gearbox + axles into my disassembled MU. Problem as always is $$$ and time.

yaahhhhh..that engine is very tempting as many people said before.

cheers

The Aus assembled Stage 1s & 110s used the Isuzu 4BD1, pity the vendor doesn't say what that one is, but, as the later 110s with the LT85 box had reliabilty issues with these motors, I shudder to think what would happen to anything that was regularly put into a Rangie other than the early 4speed box (LT95), this was what the Aus military used in their Perentie Land Rovers including the big 6 wheelers which had the turboed version (4BD1T). virtually unburstable I believe.( Engine & box)
Cheers Steve.
