hello guys ,im Rickie .im normally a Mercedes man ( ive got a old 190e as a rolling project ) but weve had this isuzu trooper
as a work vehicle and between friends for years now.( we call the 4x4 burt  )i just love this old 4x4 .its indestructible !! ..almost .
(ill get too that in a minute) so when my friend decided he wanted a warrior truck i bought it for penny's..its a bit rough.its been
used for wood cutting and spent pretty much all of its life in heavy woodland.its even filled in for the tractor at times when its broken down !!

anyway its been so reliable..with your help ive decided to try and get it through its next m.o.t

its not going to be cheap..but im hoping to get him back to his former glory and a possible lift it as well.
ive had a look and ive found the following faults..

the beam behind the rear bumper is rotten.
rear fog lights been knocked off
both rear springs are snapped
there are triangle shaped rubber bush things on the suspension ? those are both split
the exhaust is completely bent into a u shape under the 4x4.
both tie rod arms need replacing
left lower ball joint
brake pads are on the metal
two tires have slow punchers
the alternators belts snapped.

i just realized i cant post pictures yet.but when i can id like to post pictures of my progress. Very Happy

welcome to the forum  Wink

all the work is done now.took me less than two weeks (although i do have a good mechanic to help me out )
alternator belt was the worst job ever !!..also when i replaced the rear springs i fitted some two inch spacers.
i think ive got the bug now and im going to do a 2 inch body lift as well. Smile

its never let me down apart form the snapped alternator belt and then it still got me home !!
and its done well over 200 thousand !!..
