Number of different possibilities here, check the top of the tank - fuel lines may be rusted through enough to let air in/diesel out. Also try a rubber glove (mechanics type) over the top of the primer/filter housing - may be drawing air. I dare say Gribble will be along later with some other suggestions (unless he beats me to it lol) _________________ If all else fails just nod, smile and say "Yes Dear"

The primer will go soft as the fuels returning to tank from the back of the head as long as you can get pressure with it I'd look elsewhere for the fault .
Have a read of the 'white wire trick' and when it conks out next time try that .
How long does it take to start once its done the two miles ? Any history of faults with the car or just this ?
Does sound like the tank pipes are letting air in try a clear plastic in line filter before the fuel filter and look for air coming into it when the engines running . _________________ 2 New Troopers ! |
